Honest
An NCT failure costs you a retest fee, a second trip, and usually a fortnight of waiting. A twenty-minute look under the car beforehand catches nearly all of it — so we do that part for nothing.
Most NCT failures come down to the same short list: a blown bulb, a worn wiper, a tyre a millimetre under, a slack handbrake, a leaking shock, or a bit of rot on a sill. All of it is cheap to fix before the test and expensive to fix after.
Bring the car to us in Carrickmacross before your appointment and we'll put it on the lift and work the same checklist the tester uses. You get a written list of fails, marginals and costs — then you decide. We're a short run from the Cavan and Monaghan test centres, and we're open evenings and Saturdays.
