Reading The Car,
Not Guessing At It
A code reader tells you which sensor complained. It does not tell you why. That gap is where most people end up replacing three parts to fix one fault.
We plug in properly: fault codes, freeze-frame data, live sensor values, and where it's needed a road test with the laptop logging. That's how you tell a genuinely failed lambda sensor from one honestly reporting an air leak upstream.
You get told what the fault is, what's causing it, what it costs to fix and what happens if you leave it — in writing, before we start. Around Carrickmacross and Cavan we mostly see EGR and DPF faults on short-run diesels, glow plugs on older commercials, and intermittent gremlins from corroded earths.

What's included
The
Diagnostic Process
01
Full system code scan
Every module, not just the engine — ABS, airbag, transmission, body control. Stored and pending codes, plus freeze-frame data from when the fault triggered.
02
Live data & road test
Sensor values read while the engine runs and, where the fault is intermittent, logged on a road test so we catch it happening rather than guess at it.
03
Written findings & fixed price
A plain-English report of the fault, the cause, the fix and the cost. The diagnostic fee comes off the bill if we do the repair.
